Grades and mixes

Ready mix concrete, by grade and by mix

One product, every structural grade. Start from the grade on your drawing or from the element you are pouring; each grade family and special mix has its own page.

Guidance only: strength targets follow IS 456 grade designations and typical early gain; slump and placement are typical for the element. The lab issues the mix design for your site.

Three ways to mix

Transit, central or shrink mixed

Truck-mixed

Transit-mixed

Ingredients are loaded into the truck mixer and water is added at the plant or on the way, so mixing finishes in transit.

Wet mix · our standard

Central-mixed

Concrete is completely mixed in the plant's twin-shaft mixer before it is discharged into the truck. Our standard for most grades.

Hybrid

Shrink-mixed

Partially mixed at the plant and finished in the truck drum during transport, which raises plant throughput on big pours.

Delivery

Scheduled to the pour, not to the plant

Trucks are sequenced to your pour rate so the next load arrives as the last one empties. Boom and stationary pumps are planned with the mix.

Common questions

Before you order

Which concrete grades do you supply?

Every standard structural grade through M60 and above, plus the special mixes on this page. Tell us the grade on your drawing and the element you are pouring.

What is the difference between transit-mixed and central-mixed concrete?

Central mixing, our standard, finishes the batch in the plant's twin-shaft mixer before loading. Transit mixing loads materials dry with water added at the plant or on the way. Shrink mixing combines the two.

Do you supply pumps?

Yes. Boom or stationary pumps are planned with pumpable mixes. Tell us the pump height and horizontal distance when you enquire.

How is quality checked?

In our in-house laboratory: slump at plant and at site, and cubes cast per sampling plan and crushed at 7 and 28 days, with results filed against the delivery docket.

Let's plan your pour.

Tell us the grade, the volume and the date. Our team confirms the mix and schedules the mixers.
